Surya Namaskar – Sun Salutation
Surya Namaskar – Sun Salutation – is a beautiful combination of asanas, breaths, gestures (mudras) and contemplation meditation. Like the way of the sun through the sky, it consists of twelve elements. The body positions fluently change from one into another. All the body parts as well as the mind take part in this exercise. Both the body and the mind are influenced. The Best time to exercise the cycle is every morning, at sunrise, outdoor. During the exercises, the practitioner faces the Sun.

Effects:
Surya Namaskar influences the whole body. The chest becomes wider, the arms become more attractive, the skin diseases disappear, the digestion improves, constipation disappears, the body gets thinner, the spine and the whole body get more flexible and the will to live is strengthened. Sun Salutation is a “natural antidepressant”, which is in accordance with the psychological characteristics of the sun – the symbol of light and brightness.
The Sun Salutation cycle should always be done an even number of times, first putting right and then left leg backwards. The full cycle encompasses two series of movements, asanas and breaths. Having done a full cycle lay back for a few minutes to observe the positive influence of the exercise and take pleasure in it. The exercise significantly activates the body and mind. It can be done individually, as a separate mini-programme of hatha yoga.

Hydrotherapy and Urine Therapy
New HRIDAYA Sutra: "Hydrotherapy and Urine Therapy" on our
website!
"Dealing with spiritual culture of the East, especially with yoga, Sufism, Esoteric Christianity and also ayurveda (natural Indian medicine), I have mixed feelings concerning some of the published nonsense on the supposedly yogic urine therapy. Being a yogin and a yoga teacher myself I must say that this urine therapy has definitely nothing to do with yoga.
The water of Shiva is not pee, as some of those “urine therapeutists” would like to it to be, but common spring water consecrated and blessed during a ceremonial service called Abhisekam Puja. It is an ancient vedic ritual of sprinkling the Lingam – a stone pillar which is a symbol of creative force and the power of nature, also called Shakti - with clear water. The Living Water, consecrated in a ritual in which, among others, special prayers (mantras) are sung, is called Shivambu or Shivambudhara. And so, a stream of the water of Shiva is consumed as Amaroli – a divine and spiritual nectar. Associating the Lingam with phallus is also a fatal mistake, which have been promoted for a few centuries by the “scholarly” Jesuits, who have absolutely no idea about the symbolism of Shaivism. In Sanskrit the word for phallus, aka penis, is naraka – not very similar to a word lingam which has only mystical and spiritual meaning in yogic or shivaic esoterics..."

Muladhara Chakra
We just add a new text on our website: MULADHARA CHAKRA by Himalaya Swami
The circle of the Container of the Body, as the title can be
translated, opens for us the possibility of work with lotuses, with the
consciousness centers, starting from the very bottom of our trunk, from
the central point, between the womb and the coccyx. Mula
– means the Root, the Base or Bottom, hence the name refers to the
lower part of the body, which touches the ground when we sit and
reminds of a place from which the trunk of a tree grows its roots into
the ground. Vibrating word Mula means working on solving and making all
the poisons and pollutions of the material consciousness more refine.
Adhara is a container, a goblet of energy, and this goblet is so called
Svayambhu Liñga placed in the
lotus, which is the container of energy feeding the self, giving the
psychical strength and also keeping the memory of out-conscious
patterns of behavior. Adhara of the Earth, the container of the basic energy, the Earth energy, is described as a beautiful lotus flower
with four petals, and being more precise, with four energetic channels
which flow out of the container, and are symbolized by the glow or aura
of this Lotus!

The Yoga Sutras Of Patanjali
We just add a new text on our website:
The Light of the Soul: The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Alice A. Bailey (1927, Lucis Trust)
Translated by the Tibetan Master Djwhal Kuhl from Sanskrit
The Tibetan Master (DK) has said that the Sutra's of Patanjali will be the system used to train disciples in mind control for the next 7,000 years (p. 326, Discipleship in the New Age, Vol. 2 by Alice A. Bailey). A careful study of these sutras will help kriyabans appreciate the incredible and ingenious blend of spiritual techniques contained in Kriya Yoga. Most of the principles in Kriya can be found by meditating on the deeper meaning of the sutras.
What makes this translation special is that DK translated the meaning behind Patanjali's writings rather than a literal translation which is impossible from Sanskrit to English. DK was able to tune into the thought form behind the words and render them into English. Now you can use these Sutras to write your own commentaries as you do dailly seed thought meditation on each Sutra. Click and read

The Foundations of Laya Marga
New Hridaya Sutra: "The Foundations of Laya Marga". Laya is primarily the PATH OF ABSORPTION. The Higher Self, the divine
material element, absorbs the substance of ego, transforming the entire
material projection into a subtle shape which is a perfect reflection
(image) of the Ideal Human Being (PURUSHA). VIVEKA, MUMUKSHU, VIRAGA. Mantra Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga..." Click and read
